Our first overseas trip together to The Land of Dimsum, Hong Kong.
18 May 2011 - 22 May 2011
My Hong Kong Travelogue post would definitely include awesome must-shop & must-eat-at places and some tips for you. I'm doing this because when I was doing research before the trip, I painstakenly google, read through forums and blogs and everything! So I know this would mean alot to those researching for their upcoming Hong Kong trip! Enjoy! :)

At the Budget Terminal at 4am, waiting for our 6am flight via Tiger Airways

Duffy, with his passport, waiting to board :)

Beautiful skies & fluffy clouds.

Touched down in Hong Kong after a 4 hour flight. We're finally here!

One of the way to travel out of the airport is via Airport Express.

I would totally recommend getting a 3G International Roaming simcard from 3 (Their local teleco) because it allowed us to use the Maps app on the iphone, which was a lifesaver! We used it to navigate most of them time.

Our destination is Kowloon as that's where our hotel is located.

There are free shuttle buses provided and we took bus K5 to The Cityview in Yaumatei area, which is within walking distance from our hotel.

And here we are! Our extremely cosy little room in Casa Hotel.

The room is small but I'm not complaining! I actually like the hotel because it's really clean and nice, doesn't look rundown like other hotels we've passed by. They also provide free wifi from the room, unlike other hotels whereby its only available in the hotel lobby. But the toilet is super duper freaking small as you can see. So your standing area to shower is only in front of the sink.
I would totally recommend this hotel!
Time to hit the streets!

Famous street snack from Fei Jie Snacks Shop. That's pig intestine & octoupus, sounds gross but super yummy! Its chilled & super Q and crunchy. Must try!

Langham Place; H&M
The first H&M store I visited and I think I went crazy inside there! The summer clothes & swimwear are out already so I was damn excited. But queues for fitting rooms are crazily long in every H&M outlet. And this is also the place I spend most of my $_$ at!

Another nice shop from Langham Place is Monki, almost the same concept as H&M but more expensive!

Best curry fishballs directly opposite the Langham Place's H&M entrance
That's my favourite spicy curry fishballs to the left, and B's gross cow innards on the right. He thinks its really yummy though, worth a try! These curry fishballs are the best because they're mad spicy! In some places they only dip the fishballs in normal curry sauce (not spicy), but they have chilli padi in this one so I love it!

Famous mango dessert chain store; Hui Lau Shan 許留. Do not worry about not being able to find this place cos it is everywhere!

While waiting for our dessert, "Can don't take photo anot?!" *Irritated face* HAHA

L: Mango ice-cream w glutinous rice balls | R: Mango Pomelo Sago
Prefer the left one to the right because I love the glutinous rice balls!
After that was more shopping & less pictures!
We went to Argyle Centre and its like my second favourite shopping place after H&M! Things there a damn cheap its heaven! I totally recommend this place for girls, really MUST-GO! Almost like FEP except much cheaper! We went back there afew times throughout the next few days.
Argyle Centre is where most HK young girls shop at and you get to see their latest fashion trends! They are super into some kind of platform shoes, but they're totally not my style.
Every single HK girl is wearing it, its crazy. As much as I love shoes, I was so tempted to get it cos they look really comfy & easy to walk in, but didn't! And now its getting popular in sg too!

Looking at the Maps app for direction. Most of the pictures I took of him looks like this; eyes looking down at the phone -_____-

Supper; and also our first official meal of the day! It was at some 茶餐廳 near our hotel. And HKers love 公仔麵, which is what we call instant noodles! Their food are actually on the saltier side as compared to the food we usually eat in SG! And that's sprite w lemon on the right!
